The Taming of the Shrew

In 16th-century Italy, a wealthy merchant named Baptista has two daughters, the beautiful Bianca and her fiercely independent older sister Katharina. While Bianca attracts numerous suitors, her father refuses to allow her to marry until Katharina finds a husband. When Petruchio, a charming but penniless gentleman, arrives in Padua seeking a wealthy bride, he decides to marry the notoriously ill-tempered Katharina. Their marriage soon turns into a spirited battle of wills, filled with sharp exchanges, humorous confrontations, and unexpected romantic developments. Based on William Shakespeare's famous comedy.
